There are three important aspects to looking after your body.

Getting enough Rest and Sleep

Eating well and often

Taking some exercise at least 3 to 4 times per week.

It is important to look after your body, to help you to look after your body to help you to stay well and healthy for as long as you can.

Rest and Sleep

Regular periods of rest and sleep are vital to our well-being. Being deprived of sleep is dangerous as it limits our ability to do things such as driving and exercise and can make you ill.

Food, Diet and Nutrition:

Most of us knows that modern diets can contain too many processed foods that are high in fats and salt. We should eat more fresh fruits and vegetables as part of a healthy balanced diet.

Obesity, high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, Type 2 Diabetes are all common problems in modern life and often a result of a poor diet.

Exercise:

Most of us are aware that they should be doing regular exercise, a government recommendation of 20 minutes of moderate intensity exercise, enough to raise your heart rate daily. Up to three longer session of high intensity activity per week. It is important to ease yourself gently into any exercise program if you have not done any exercise for a long time.

Do not forget to shower or bath daily be good to yourself, some say we do not have to wash or body daily, but it sure feels good to do so.

Exfoliate your body at least once per week and always moisturise after a shower or exfoliating.

Be good to yourself during this lockdown.
